The Story Behind Wise
Dedee Boring, Wise Founder, began this Network as a response to the lack of female representation in commercial real estate networking spaces. Initially founded in Austin, Wise was created to empower women and offer a platform for networking and education in the multifamily real estate sector. What started as a local initiative quickly grew into a movement, expanding into cities like Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Denver, Raleigh, and Seattle.
The mission of Wise is to guide and support women in their journey to becoming confident and knowledgeable investors in commercial real estate. With a focus on multifamily, self-storage, NNN leases, office, industrial, land, and hospitality, Wise encourages women to explore various asset classes and investment opportunities while building their confidence and self-worth.

Despite women making up only 3% of commercial real estate investors and often being more risk-averse in their strategies, Wise is here to change the narrative. Our mission is to empower women to step into larger opportunities, whether it’s multifamily or self-storage investments, and make informed financial decisions that benefit themselves and their families.
We believe that the foundation of successful investing starts with investing in yourself. By first gaining a solid understanding of commercial real estate and beginning with passive investments, you can build the experience and confidence needed to advance into roles like general partner or active owner.
